Compliance Officer
Job Objective:
To support the Compliance team to discharge its responsibilities relating to the compliance risk management process as required by relevant legislations and regulations, as well as applicable codes of conduct and minimum operating standards
Experience
• Graduate with 0-3 years’ experience in any department of a financial institution.
• Understanding of a broad range of investment banking products
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
• Compliance/AML professional qualification/certification would be an added advantage.
Some duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following:
• To provide support to FBNMB to ensure compliance with the relevant Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Combating Financing of Terrorism (CFT) legislations and regulations
• To render AML returns to the relevant authorities, including the Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
• To track and monitor all regulatory returns to ensure that such returns are rendered as and when due
• To maintain and develop a thorough understanding of the relevant regulatory requirements and policies applicable to FBNMB, thereby facilitating the establishment of an enterprise-wide compliance culture
• To promote a good working relationship with supervisors/regulators/examiners/inspectors/law enforcement agencies

Compliance Manager
Job Objective:
To support the Chief Compliance Officer to drive and implement the Bank’s compliance program especially as it relates compliance with rules on customer due diligence and KYC obligations
Experience
• Minimum of ten years’ post-graduation experience within the financial Institution with at least five years in a supervisory role in the Compliance function of a Bank
• Understanding of a broad range of relevant regulatory provisions and investment banking products
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
• Relevant professional qualifications, ACAMS, CIN, ICA
• Master’s degree in relevant discipline would be desirable
Some duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following:
• Build, Embed and Continuously Update Appropriate Compliance Risk Management Structures, Policies, Frameworks, Control Systems and Supporting Processes and Procedures
• Design and implement Compliance Policy Framework
• Help to drive an effective Compliance reporting culture within the Bank
• Partner with key internal and external partnerships to develop and drive Improved Service to Business
• Provide periodic guidance to and oversight for junior team members within department as and when required.
• Develop and deepen business relationships across the Bank
• Foster collaboration and business opportunities for the Group as a whole.
• Ensure that the issues relating to ethics and compliance are evaluated, monitored, managed and resolved in an appropriate manner and also put in place appropriate disciplinary actions and measures to avoid recurrences.
• Ensure that monitoring programs are in place to measure efficiency and to identify potential areas for improvement.
