Directs financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with General Manager and department heads.
Leads FP&A, Accounting, PPO and IT department.
Oversees all company finance and accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
Supervises investment and raising of funds for business.
Studies, analyzes and reports on trends, opportunities and projection of future company development.
As a member of senior management team, the incumbent actively participates in business planning, evaluating performance and defining corrective actions to optimize achievement of goals.
Plays a leading role in ensuring corporate governance and internal controls effectiveness and compliance.
Ensure local entities and operations are fully compliant from a tax and statutory perspective.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
University level education (Finance / Business Administration); Professional Qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
Work Experience:
7-10 years experience in multinational company with ideally 4 years in a leading Finance role. Preferable exposure to both to market and manufacturing
Adding environment of an organization of at least > 40 employees.
Languages & Computer Skills and other skills:
Fluent English. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP

POSITION DESCRIPTION
MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short
and long-term strategic financial objectives (BS, P&L, CF, WC,FCF).
Ensure adequate facilities/cash flow to meet the organization's needs.
Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and reliable/accurate
analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
Ensures effective WC management, analyse and challenge drivers of WC.
Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury and IT
functions of the organization.
Manages team of direct reports.
Initiates and leads efficiency measurement projects.
Management & Leadership: This position leads the FP&A, Accounting and IT
function and sets up an environment for the whole team with targets and
values which follow the company values.
He/she performs performance appraisals and feedback sessions in order to
improve the quality of the team.
Adding Staffing: Ensure good educated & trained staff within the tea Vma,l umea. Onaffegreinsg Service
knowledge transfer in order to guarantee a high standard finance processes
and reporting to the company
Manages and leads the financial planning (OL/LE/TDT/ASP), internal and
external reporting and the monthly Actuals closing activities for West Africa
and shared services within the guidelines and timings as set by Regional
Finance, Corporate FP&A & Controllers Group.
Directs and oversees process improvement for market planning, analysis and
reporting (internal & external).
Manages internal and external audit, including planning of audit assignments,
audit testing, and reporting in accordance with Audit methodology to ensure
a clean audit.
Provide management team with advice on the financial implications of
business activities.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with management team so as to
identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
Provides management team with advice on the financial implications of
business activities.
Initiates and leads efficiency measurement projects.
Ensure that effective internal controls and processes are in place to ensure
compliance with IFRS and local statutory/regulatory laws and rules for financial
and tax reporting.
Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets
of the organization.
Ensures full compliance to Group/Local Policies & Procedures.
Act as contact person with local Banks (maintain a good relationship) and
Corporate Treasury to monitor cash/financing requirements and ensure
optimized cash allocation.
Supervise payable and receivable flows and manage treasury account and
Bank Investments in order to optimize cash flow of the local entities, also
sourcing for foreign exchange.
Keep abreast of the volatile and fast changing Nigerian direct (VAT,
Withholding, Corporate) or indirect (import duty, excise) Tax environment.
Inform local and SSA Management accordingly and maintain good
relationship with all related Government departments.
