Account Officer

JOB TITLE:​Account Officer
REPORTS TO:​Group Head - Account

We are looking to hire a smart and dependable Male Accounting Officer. This position is headquartered in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. He will be responsible for assisting the Accounting manager with accounting responsibilities. This includes but not limited to:

Responsibilities:

➢ Assist in preparing recurrent and capital expenditure for each expenditure type
➢ Maintain appropriate records of actual recurrent expenditure and prepare periodic analysis of actual against planned expenditure for each expenditure type.
➢ Liaise with HR for monthly payroll preparation and reconciliation
➢ Oversee bookkeeping and reconciliation of accounts
➢ Assist in preparing Monthly Income Statement
➢ Prepare Cash flow Statement
➢ Liaise with the banks, collect statements and reconcile bank accounts
➢ Ensure preparation and remittance of taxes such as VAT, PAYE, Pension

Requirements

➢ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
➢ ATS certified
➢ Proven 2-3 years’ experience as an Accounting Officer or relevant role.
➢ Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in accounting.
➢ Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access and the various accounting software’s- Sage, Peachtree etc.
➢ Fast learner and passion for business growth
➢ Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills
➢ The ability to build effective business relationships
